Got any more blogs for me to check out? LOL

Regarding a name, my opinion is that it might be a bit late because most people who have a name for their blog have also purchased a domain name based on the name.

However, putting that aside for now, there are two ways you could assign a name (outside of your personal name): based on the topics you would like to discuss or something that strikes your fancy. In my case, I like fountain pens so that is why I named mine Pen and Ink and Kim likes Hot Peppers. My former blog was named after a phrase my wife had used to describe me: If you want to make a short story long, let Jules tell it.

If you would like some input, perhaps you could provide some parameters such as what you would like to blog about or things you like.

Jules,

I guess it isn't apparent from my previous posts and I currently don't have the blog description in my header but it is as follows: "The journey from a small business to a success and all points in-between."

My aim for this site is to document things I've learned, things I've done wrong, small wins, and big victories. In addition it will contain insights, links to blogs, reviews and criticisms.

What spawned this was that I found that too much unrelated personal stuff was ending up in the SmashingRed Blog. This wasn't really advancing my marketing strategy at all and I needed to make a change. The other part was Tom Peters is always on about "Brand You" and I felt there was no good time but the present to start forging that brand -- which is really an extension of my best self.

See what you can do with that.

All the best,

Jay

Given your tag line "The journey from a small business to a success and all points in-between.", it would seem to me that your current title describes what you want to acheive with this blog. The only changes I might recommend are:

1. that it be "Destination: Success",
2. I would trim your tag line to just "The journey from a small business to success", and
3. that you add your tag line to the header of your blog (like I have).

Jules,

Thanks for the assessment. Points 2 and 3 are a done. Point 1 is a good idea. The "World Class" is a reference to Michael E. Gerber's books E Myth Revisited and E Myth Mastery. His idea is to move small business to operate as world class business do. I am seriously thinking about you suggestion though. It seems to be more meaningful and succinct.

Thanks,

Hyu,

Not too bad. I am not worried too much about the domain as much as the actual blog title. I am interested in making as much of a statement about my blog in one phrase as possible. I guess It will really have to come from vision and perseverence.

Thanks for the comments

I think that to receive the loans from creditors you ought to have a great reason. But, one time I have got a car loan, because I was willing to buy a house.
